Description

Sarah completed her BSc in Occupational Therapy at Glyndwr University in 2012, gaining a 1st class honours. Sarah has also completed a ‘Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy’ from the Institute of Counselling, and gained a distinction in ‘Cognitive Behavioural Interventions’ MSc level module at Chester University as part of her Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice (Distinction).Sarah has over 10 years experience as an Occupational Therapist in the NHS; during this time she worked in both physical and mental health, in hospitals and in the community. Sarah set up The OT Hut as she gained a great interest in how Occupational Therapy, utilising a psychological approach to therapy, can enable people to feel in control of feelings such as stress, anxiety and low mood caused by life events, work, ill health, day to day demands. Sarah has seen first hand how this approach can literally change the lives of people and equip them with tools to remain well throughout life’s ups and downs.
